Slovak Museum of Nature Protection and Speleology

It is the most modern museum and the only specialised museum of its kind in Slovakia. You can see and experience the natural world starting from the underground and gradually continuing to the highest mountains. Of course, the Museum is interactive as visitors are free to look into a bear lair and try crawling in the cave. The exhibits are complemented by light and sound effects, which make you feel like you’re actually walking through the woods.

Did you know that... ?

Ordinary chemical elements can emit sounds? Come by the museum and simply remove the silicon, sulphur or aluminium from the panel and the speakers will come alive with a short, characteristic melody for each element.
